Infant spots almost always have a waitlist. Families usually join three to six months before they need care, often while still pregnant. It costs nothing and you can come off any time.
After you send the form
Within a day, usually the same afternoon. Tours run weekday mornings around 9:30, once drop-off has settled and the day is in full swing — deliberately, so you see the real thing.
We walk the whole house and the yard, you meet the children who are here, and we answer everything. Bring your child. We will send the exact address with your confirmation.
No pressure and no same-day deposit push. Pick your child's care with a clear head. Call us with the questions you thought of afterward — everybody has them.
A $150 registration fee and one month's deposit secure it. If the room you need is full, you go on the waitlist at no cost and we tell you honestly where you sit.
Tour any daycare, not just ours
We would rather you choose well than choose us. If you are touring several places this month, these are the questions that separate them.
It should be posted and current. Look it up on the state's site beforehand and check for citations — anyone can say they are licensed.
Not at pickup, when everyone is helping. Ask what the ratio is at 2 p.m. on a Wednesday, and who covers when someone calls in sick.
Where does drop-off happen? Is there a fence between the play area and moving cars? Ask what is on the other side of that fence.
If the answer is "the same room as everyone else," believe them — and think about what that means for a four-month-old at 1 p.m.
How long has the current staff been here? Your child's attachment is to a person, not a building.
Registration, supplies, food, late pickup, holidays, summer. Ask what the total was last month for a family like yours.
Before you ask
At the closed end of a cul-de-sac in Canyon Country, 91351. There is no through traffic and nothing drives past the house. We share the exact address once your tour is confirmed — a small privacy habit our families appreciate.
Yes — as a family child care home under the California Department of Social Services, Community Care Licensing Division. The license is posted in the entry and the number is at the bottom of this page. Every adult in the home has cleared DOJ, FBI and Child Abuse Central Index background checks.
Twelve maximum, with two adults. Four of those are infants, in their own separate room. That is a much smaller group than any center you will tour.
Please do. Watching how your child moves around the room — and how the other children respond to them — is the most useful half hour you will spend on this decision.

We hold two subsidy-funded spots and work with the local resource and referral agency on CalWORKs and Alternative Payment placements. Ask and we will tell you straight whether one is open.
